It’s taken me almost 3 years but I’ve finally come back to the brand I started this blog with: Gressa!
I wasn’t sure I wanted to blog then but I am glad I took that step now. I still remember figuring out lighting, angles, camera settings and working up the courage to finally hit the publish button!
Blogging has been one of the best outlets for me. Whenever I get back to styling and taking photos, I always feel creative and at ease. Not to mention, I still think vast improvements could be made to show diversity in the beauty industry, so in any case, no one loses! Gone Swatching xo continues to be a source of reviews, information and swatches and I’m able to keep buying and testing makeup!

My pick of the range is still Regal. You can apply it softly for that ever so soft hint of sheer pink or apply heavily for deep, sultry crimson that is perfectly glossy. I’ve loved using it as blush as well because it’s so easy to blend. That said, Jolie is a pretty stunning coral. It’s the right kind of balance between pink, orange and being a pop of colour, but still soft.

Jolie
Sweet ocean coral. Fun and flirty.
This is a very bright and warm coral, that is still very wearable without looking too neon. I can see this being a perfect colour for days out to the beach or when you want to be playful and flirty.
Brilliant
Minimalistic, pale peachy gold with specks of sophisticated shimmer.
In this picture I had to layer it on a little for the gold to show up, so if you apply this lightly, the effect isn’t at all too foiled. If you really like the texture of these Lip Boosts, then I think this would be a good choice if you’re after something with less pigment.
Faris
Malibu Barbie pink, for a lip not to be missed.
It’s purely me, but I’m not a huge fan of this pink on my lips because of how pastel it looks. It doesn’t work on me but I could see it working on anyone with a lighter skin tone, perhaps with cool undertones.
Belia
Sheer mocha brown, a neutral for day or night.
This one is so soft and creamy. While I personally don’t like browns on me, I do think it’s still super flattering and could also work as a nude on someone with a deep skin tone.
Aux Rouge
“The red”. Classic statement of strength and sensuality
This one is sheerer than Lavish and Regal, so you can’t build them up to be as opaque. You can see though, that it’s a beautiful touch of red without being too harsh. Perfect for anyone wanting a red to perk up their features without looking too made up.
Dahlia
Deep dark purple, make a glamourous statement.
This is the only shade that has issues with a clean, smooth application of pigment. It’s a little patchy and does catch in the lines in my lips. Other than that, the formula is still the same, buttery smooth and nourishing base. I’d recommend applying sparingly and properly massaging into your perfectly exfoliated lips to have this look the best.
