Swatches:
Rapture, Beloved & Amazed
Rapture
A bright, blue-based pink suitable for all skin tones, and especially flattering on darker complexions
This is pretty much spot on the same shade that you got when you rubbed pink icy poles over your lips when you were a child (I can remember doing that all the time!).
Even though it’s blue-based I don’t think it looks terrible on me. The pigment is strong. When it is lightly applied it’s stays more matte but you can achieve a glossier pout with more. It also stains and even when the most of has worn off you are left with a slight feeling of balm on your lips. I really like how they can be applied lightly but still feel like they are keeping your lips from drying out.
Beloved
This color is more of a blackberry than burgundy. Luscious, buildable color. Wear just a touch for the look of a light stain, or layer on for a deep, opaque color.
Definitely a rich colour, even with a light stain. It makes me feel very grown up. I do find that it’s a bit patchy. The more I applied, I felt like I was just moving colour around on my lips, rather than achieving one even coat. This one will stain your lips as the pigment is very strong. The formula is also beautifully creamy and will keep your lips feeling covered in a soothing balm-like finish.
Amazed
A pale, fresh lilac pink
It was no surprise to me that this didn’t suit. It’s too light, too cool toned and ends up looking very pasty on me when it’s layered. Lightly applied, I think it’s wearable, but it gathers a bit in my lines when it’s not applied heavily and just isn’t my favourite colour.
