This post is for the Olive Oil Lipstick and their Real Rosehip Lipbar. The website says their Rich Olive Oil Lipstick is:
‘Formulated with healthy olive oil to condition and hydrate your lips, for hours of wearability. Get a burst of natural colour that enhances lips and doesn’t dry out’
Meanwhile their Real Rosehip Lipbar is:
‘A balm and lipstick blend, this product protects and nourishes lips with a hint of glossy colour.’
Organic Certification:
While they don’t have official certification, they do commit to not including harmful ingredients such as parabens, talc, petrolatum, propylene glycol, BHT & BHA, Imidazolindinyl Urea, Paraffin, Lead, DMDM Hydantoin, nano particles, synthetic fragrances or mineral oil. They are also not tested on animals.

For the Real Rosehip Lipbar:

VEGAN
Their lipstick retails for $29.90 AUS for 4.5g or 0.15oz. The lipbar is cheaper at $21.95 AUS for 4.5g or 0.15oz.
Each lipstick is in a white tube, with a thin black ring around the middle. It pops open, and clicks shut securely. The silver logo is on one side, with a sticker telling you the colour at the bottom. There’s also no expiration date on the tube.
I find it thicker than most I’ve tried. I really notice the lipstick when it’s applied heavy. It doesn’t slip around on your lips when you rub them together. The lipbar stays comfortable, no matter how much you apply. The balmy texture has shine and much more slip than the Olive Oil Lipstick. I wouldn’t say it looks like a proper gloss and it does’t slip around as one either. Both of them have a barely detectable scent of oil.
I find applying it from the bullet fine. Even with Gala, which is a deep brown, the formula is forgiving, so you can move it if you make a mistake. The first swipe is not completely opaque but you certainly can build it up to full opacity. I do feel that this one feels a little heavy if too much is applied. The finish of the lipbar is very sheer. Do not expect rich, opaque colour. It’s barely even a tint.

Gala & Nude
‘Gorgeous sheer dark brown – like espresso and champagne combined.
True to it’s description, Gala is a deep, chocolate brown on me. It does have a slight sheen to it, but I don’t find any pink in it. In fact it comes off extremely dark on my lips.
PROS:
- Good ingredients
- Good opacity when you apply two layers
- Starts off as a lighter – medium opacity (which is good for such a deep shade in my opinion)
- Feels very substantial, more like a matte lipstick
CONS:
- Feels heavy with more layers applied
- Not vegan
- Colour makes me look older
Nude
Velvety skin colour Nude is the best-ever Natural Lipbar. Suits everyone, a subtle colour tint you’ll wear every day
There is a faint hint of pink, but barely. I had to really rub to build up any pigment in the heavy swatch, and on my lips. It works as it’s described. It feels secure on my lips and actually lasts really, really well.
PROS:
- Light weight
- Sheer pink is wearable for every day
- Very moisturizing
- Fool proof to apply, as the colour is not opaque enough to make a mess
- When I wear this, my lips appear full
- Good ingredients
CONS:
- Works better as a balm than a lipstick, which makes it quite expensive.
- Very sheer
Final Word:
When lightly applied, Gala is much more wearable. Applying it thickly makes me look older. It makes my lips look thinner too. I feel that the formula isn’t emollient enough to fill out the fine lines on my lips either. I can use it as a thin layer under bright pinks to take off the edge.
As for Nude, you can see I’ve pretty much finished this one. I use this the most, purely because I throw in my bag and use it almost every day as a balm. As a moisturizing product, it works very well and I love how it plumps up my lips and fills out the fine lines. I would purchase again, but it’s not a must have product, as I can buy a balm for a lot less money.
