It’s been a long time coming, but I can finally bring you my review of Red Apple Lipstick! When I first started this blog, I had my eye on their lipsticks as they sounded perfect for me. Fragrance free, crafted with thoughtfully chosen ingredients with many different needs in mind. They are gluten free, soy free and nut free!
I was lucky enough that the girls at Red Apple reached out and asked if I would like to try anything and of course I couldn’t say yes quick enough! While I did request a couple of colours, I actully let them have free reign. Many of these colours are ones they suggested.

Swatches
Chai Love You, Mayberry, Barcelona & Spice ‘n Easy
Chai Love You
Sophisticated nude with a reddish brown undertone
Mayberry
Medium dusty rose mauve
Barcelona
Mid-tone brownish red with the slightest orange undertones
Spice ‘n Easy
Medium spicy orange with a brownish-red undertone
Out of all these shades, I really like Chai Love You and Spice ‘n Easy. I don’t really see Spice ‘n Easy as an orange, it pulls really pink on me. Regardless, they’re both very flattering for my warm skin tone and are such a lovely ‘My Lips But Better’ colours. I also really like Barcelona. Warm toned, soft reds will always find a way into my makeup kit as they are a nice step up. All the formulas of these are very smooth, creamy, nourishing and lightweight. They all stain, so once they’ve worn away, you should be left with an even tint.
Bronzer & Blush
Ingredients
Iron Oxides, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Vegan Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Zinc Oxide, Silica, Ultramarines. Gotta Glow Blush includes Bismuth oxychloride 0.05%
Swatches
Gotta Glow Blush
Slightly shimmery peachy pink
I haven’t used a powder blush for a while now, so I’m a little out of practise. This is pigmented! What you see on my brush, I easily used for both my cheeks! It’s a lovely colour for a pop of colour, without too much glitter. I don’t love that this has bismuth oxychloride. It’s probably the one ingredient I’d caution against, especially if you know you have issues.
Sundrop Bronzer
Unless you’ve followed me for a while, you probably don’t know that bronzer isn’t really part of my routine. I just don’t reach for it because I’ve never really liked how it looks on me. This one is warm toned, without being orange, which definitely helps avoid looking too harsh. It blends easily and you don’t need a lot. While it isn’t life changing for me, I don’t mind the colour, especially since it’s not too dark.
Eyeshadow
Ingredients

Tip Taupe

Earth Girl

Matte Eye Shadow Palette for Brown Eyes
Swatches
Porcelain

Hush Hush
Matte light peach
She’s Spicy
Neutral earthy blend of red and brown
Brownie Points
Matte, medium brown with a warm undertone
I’ll never say no to expanding my eyeshadow kit, especially as pressed shadows. While they sent me a mini Z-palette, these slot easily into my own magnetic kit. I don’t always like warm shades, such as She’s Spicy & Earth Girl, so they’ll probably be used less. I probably own some similar shades already, but I do like that I have some variations. I personally like the more neutral shades such as, Hello Darkness & Tip Taupe. You need these type of shades to help build depth and dimension for any type of look; more neutral matte every day or enhanced with bolder colours. I use these shades every day, just for subtle shading and for lining my eyes. I definitely think that eyeshadow gives a softer effect than a pencil.
Final Word
I’m so grateful to Red Apple Lipstick for sending through such a thoughtfully chosen package. I really love the lipstick shades Chai Love You, Barcelona and Spice ‘n Easy because they compliment me so well. They feel beautiful on the lips and don’t feel heavy at all. The fact that they exclude so many potential allergens is a real bonus and if you have sensitivities, I hope you check them out. Their colour range is wide ranging and after trying these, it just makes me want to try more.
The eyeshadows are lovely to use as well. I found that a couple were dustier than others, but it’s not really an issue for. Perhaps just something to keep an eye on if you’re rough when dipping your brushes. What really matters is that they apply nicely, with a good amount of pigment that’s buildable and blendable.
