Ilia Beauty updated their lipstick formula at the start of the year, but their tinted lip conditioners have stayed in the rotation. They’re perfect for anyone who wants colour, but needs something less high maintenance than a true lipstick.
I’m really glad that Ilia Beauty haven’t discontinued these, as the shade In Paradise is my perfect coral! I wanted to finish swatching the rest of the range to see what other favourites I might find.
Swatches
Hold Me Now, Blossom Lady, Nobody’s Baby, These Days, Dizzy, In Paradise, Shell Shock, Pink Moon, Jump, Bang Bang, Crimson Clover, Arabian Nights & Lust for Life
Hold Me Now
Powder Pink
This is one of those shades that turn a little pastel on me because my lips are darker, but for lighter skin tones it would be a pretty, soft pink.
Blossom Lady
Soft Pink
This is such a wearable, light pink for every day. Pared back with minimal makeup, I can imagine wearing this for times I want to look made up without looking too dressy.
Nobody’s Baby
Nude
I’ve found that Ilia Beauty have some of the best nudes for my particular skin tone. This is one of those. It leans a little pinker than a true nude, but I love how it looks and wears.
These Days
Nude Shimmer
If were after a warmer nude, then this would be it. The shimmer hardly shows (which I prefer) and it’s such a balmy, creamy lip colour that it’s a colour I’d be happy to wear all day.
Dizzy
Orange Coral
This is a touch light for me, so it’s not my favourite orange, however it is a very interesting colour. I think I could pull this off, in the right situation though!
In Paradise
Pink Melon
I’ve not found a coral that suits me any better than this. Hands down, my favourite shade from this range.
Shell Shock
Coral
A light coral, that leans more pink in my opinion. It’s not my favourite from this range, as I already prefer In Paradise.
Pink Moon
Deep Purple
This swatches much more opaque than any of the others. I’m a fan of how smooth and even the colour is, without having to apply too much. It will stain so you can just apply balm after it’s faded to achieve a slightly different look.
Jump
Blue Fuchsia
This starts off sheer and only really builds to this medium coverage. There’s nothing wrong with that, as it makes it an easy shade to wear if you want a pop of colour without too much work.
Bang Bang
Red
This is a very wearable, pink based red, because it’s sheer and doesn’t build to be completely opaque.
Crimson Clover
Bright Red
If you’re after a standout red, then I’d choose Crimson Clover over Bang Bang. You can apply it sparingly for a slight stain or you can layer for this type of impact.
Arabian Nights
Berry
I prefer this type of sheer colour when it comes to berry tones because it makes them more wearable in my opinion. I’ve just never had much confidence with dark, sultry colours. This has the richness, but without it darkening my features.
Lust for Life
Deep Red
Lust for Life is another one with a stronger pigment (which stains) so it feels more like a lipstick.
I’ve seen that some of these colours have been discontinued by Ilia Beauty, but are still available at some of their online stockists. At the time of posting, Arabian Nights, Crimson Clover, Bang Bang, In Paradise, Shell Shock, Blossom Lady, Nobody’s Baby & These Days are still available on their official site.
Hold Me Now, Dizzy, Pink Moon, Jump & Lust for Life can be found if you search around at online stores such as Alyaka, Beautylish, Clementine Fields & the Green Jungle Beauty Shop
