I’ve only tried lip balms from W3LL People and I loved that they were so afforable. This week I’m bringing you my thoughts on some more of their face and eye products.
I actually won these in a giveaway, hosted by the lovely Olga of @olgakalenska_cleanlife. Go check her out on instagram for reviews and beautiful photos of green beauty.
They’ve since come out with a revamped product line, but it’s not stocked in Australia. I love that their makeup is geared towards anyone wanting simple, soft minimalist makeup.
W3LL People are committed to creating products without fillers, propylene glycol, petrochemicals or petroleum by-products. They’re also GMO free, gluten free and cruelty free. The Brow Gel and Bio Bronzer has an expiration of 12 months after opening, while the mascara claims to last 6 months. It’s worth noting that most mascaras should be changed every 3 months.
Expressionist Brow Gel in 3 Dark Brown $17.99 USD for 0.1oz/3.3g or $28.42 AUD
Ingredients:
My brows are full on their own so I never use anything to fix them into place, although I probably should. If you like the fluffed up brows, then this has enough hold to keep the hairs up but I try not to apply too much to avoid them looking too blocky. It’s has a good texture, not too wet or thick, but it does set.
Expressionist Volumizing Mascara in Black $19.99 USD for 0.30oz/ 8.5g or $31.58 AUD
Ingredients:
I enjoy this mascara because it’s not a very wet or thin formula. If you ever have issues with putting on mascara and then waiting for it to dry, while worried it’ll end up everywhere unless you’re dead still, then you shouldn’t have that with this.
One thing though, is that I don’t love thick, clumped on mascara and this can end up looking that way if you’re heavy handed. It’s a true, rich black that is good for thickening and lengthening. It also holds my curl very well, which is another bonus. I do find that this does end up transferring under my eyes though, so it ends up smudges pretty easily. I have oily skin though, so I’ve found a many mascaras tend to do this.
Bio Bronzer Stick $23.99 USD for 0.17oz/5g or $38.00 AUD
Ingredients:
They only have one colour, Natural Tan, so it may not work for all skin tones. It’s applies quite dark, which can be blended easily, without moving your foundation underneath. I like that it ends up sheer, as I never wear heavy bronzer. It’s a great colour, not too orange, red or overly brown.
This bronzer also works really well as a way to darken your eye lid crease. It doesn’t gather or look patchy and you don’t need a lot. I think it’s a perfect shade for when you want subtle makeup that enhances your features.
Final Word:
I honestly wouldn’t have ever tried the Brow Gel or the Bio Bronzer had I not won the giveaway. The new formulas aren’t available in Australia, except for a mascara and this bronzer at Mecca. I am honestly glad that I did. Again, I haven’t had much experience with brow products but because I have black hair, I can just brush through a light coat of mascara to keep them in place and it doesn’t look odd. I do like that this holds it in place without stiffening them too much.
I also like that the bronzer can be buffed away because I much prefer the ‘no makeup’ look. I also really enjoy it as soft eyeshadow colour, which is surprising since the colour doesn’t look like it would suit me. I’m also a fan of their mascara. I normally use Pacifica Beauty but this is much drier and can be layered for much bolder impact.
