Lepaar Review – Golden Age Honey Mask & Soft Rose Hydrosol Spritz

One of my absolute favourite skincare brands, Lepaar released some new offerings that I knew I just had to try! This is their pure exfoliating honey face mask, with a Rose Hydrosol facial toner. They sell these two in a bundle for $120.00 AUD or you can purchase them separately.

I know many people avoid honey due to the huge impact beekeeping has on bee colonies, but I found it to be one of the best ingredients for my fragile skin. Lepaar pay paticular attention to the sourcing of their skincare ingredients and the same applies with honey. They source theirs from Malfoy’s Gold, a company dedicated to not only providing ethical honey products, but also educating and providing resources to those interested in natural beekeeping. I’d highly recommend having a look at their website to see for yourself the level of dedication and care they have for their bees. Their honey is raw, enzymatic and pure.

This is a gorgeous golden goop, speckled with gold flakes. It also smells so good! Sweet, sweet honey with a touch of smoky resin. I dampen my face with a good spritz of the Rose toner first and then apply a thin layer all over. It needs the moisture, otherwise it’ll just stick. The sweet chestnut powder gives this a slight grit, which is perfect for exfoliation.

I almost didn’t buy this set, because of the Rose Water hydrosol. I’ve tried other products with rose, which were far too strong for me. This though has the most delicate scent that doesn’t linger. It’s also not an overly sweet scent, it’s somewhat heady and layered.

I also layer this over the honey face mask to keep it wet as I’m letting it work it’s magic. After at least half an hour, I dampen my hands to gently rub the mask in to exfoliate my skin. Once I’m finished exfoliating, it’s easily washed off with warm water. It will leave a noticeable film, which I remove with my Acure cleanser.

Final Word

I adore how softly the mask exfoliates, while also feeling luxurious and smelling delicious. It leaves my skin clean, ready for my next skincare products, which also seem to sink in better. Over time it helps smooth rough skin and even my skin tone. It’s definitely a worthy addition to my skincare line up and I love that I’ve found a toner that isn’t overpowering. Lepaar truly seem to understand my aversion to scent without compromising on their formulas. I really feel that the scents in their formulas shine but without oversensitizing my skin or overwhelming my nose.
