For the next hue in my colour series, I’ve picked the colour of royalty. For some reason, I have no problem rocking a red lip, but purple terrifies me. I haven’t been converted to this colour just yet (though Noyah’s Deeply in Mauve has me longing for more confidence!) I mainly stay in the super safe hue of rosy mauve. Think Ilia Beauty’s Madam Mina.

With the exception of Ruiha, these shades all work with a warm or yellow undertone and they don’t come across as pastel, even on my darkly pigmented lips.

Dress You Up and Laguna are my type of pink toned mauves that I’m comfortable wearing every day. One day I’ll work my way up to the ever so sultry shades of Nui Cosmetics. One day!
