If you happen to follow me on Instagram you might have seen a while ago that a company posted my image without my consent or acknowledging me. I was so fortunate that they responded when I contacted them. I’m really grateful that they understood my perspective as a blogger. We take the time to photograph, test and review products and a little recognition helps spread our name.

I was also incredibly lucky to be sent products from Nudus, who reposted the original post without knowing, as an apology.

Nudus were one of the original companies I wanted to review when I started this blog. I remember opening the boxes and finding the shade Bittersweet, which still remains my favourite orange-based red shade.

So I’d like to say a huge thank you to Diana, who was so lovely during our email exchange, but also for sending me these gorgeous shades.

A quick heads up for all of you who are vegan and avoid carmine: the only shades without carmine are the ones reviewed in my original post.

Amalia, Dreamtime and Ruby Rose

Amalia

Delicately pink that displays sophistication. a perfect sheer wash of gorgeous colour that brings a new texture to the lip euphoria range

The description says it’s sheer but it’s not what you’d expect from a balm. It still has medium opacity and feels like a proper lipstick. I’m pretty happy about trying this colour. It’s a perfectly balanced, soft pink that isn’t too bright.

Dreamtime

If 27 kisses had a sister, this would be it……with a hint of red. inspired by the beautiful Australian outback and a celebration of the stories spoken by the Aboriginal elders

It swatches a little lighter than the bullet and it’s such a lovely warm, toned rosy pink with a touch of red. I actually prefer this one to 27 Kisses. I just think it suits me better.

Ruby Rose

Feel your confidence soar and your spirit uplifted in this very wearable reddish pink, perfect for day or night

Ruby Rose is a step up from Dreamtime. The pink undertones make it softer than a true red, so if you’re experimenting with stronger colours then this one would be a good place to start.
